Olds Bottle Depot

The Olds Bottle Depot has been operating as a social enterprise under the umbrella of Accredited Supports to the Community since 1986. All proceeds generated from the Olds Bottle Depot go towards providing services to people in the community. Our Bottle Depot offers a bright, attractive, efficient and enclosed area to bring your cans, bottles and other refundable beverage containers.

OUR HOURS

For all your returnable needs, visit the Olds Bottle Depot Monday through Saturday between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

The depot is closed Sundays and for all statutory holidays.

We are refunding as per ABCRC: $0.10 – 1L and Under | $0.25 – Over 1 L

The Olds Bottle Depot is a member of the Alberta Bottle Depot Association and the Recycling Council of Alberta.

HOW TO USE OUR DROP-OFF SERVICE

If you don’t have the time to wait for your returns to be processed or you’re in no hurry to receive your refund, the Olds Bottle Depot Drop-off Service may be the choice for you.

IF YOU HAVE A LARGE ORDER FOLLOW THESE EASY STEPS:

Come into the main sorting area and tell one of our staff that you have a large order for drop-off.

Back your vehicle up to the barn doors and our staff will open up the door for you.

Fill out the form that is available near the door, including your name, the date and your phone number.

If you want your cheque mailed to you please check the mail box and print your mailing address. Any refunds that are over $150 are issued by cheque so be sure to include who the cheque should be made out to.

Unload your beverage containers into one of the bins and place your form with your order.

ABCRC rules and regulations state that the depot has to have your order done within two weeks. With the Olds Bottle Depot’s new automation system it typically takes less time depending on the size of the order. Once the order is done and payment is processed, the depot will give you a call.

If it is just a small order (two to three bags) you can drop off in the depot’s Small Order drop area, following the same steps noted above for a large order.

You access the small drop-off area through the door beside the main entrance to the sorting area of the depot.

Recycling Ranger

The “Recycling Ranger” has been designed to help community groups collect beverage containers. Groups can generate income and promote responsible recycling of beverage containers.
